The Northampton Fire Department patch worn by all Firefighters and Officers in the City of Northampton Fire Department

was developed in 2005 by members of the department. The members felt it was time to update the older patch worn for

many years to a new one that reflects the changes within the department to a new role in EMS. Four patch designs were

created and all department members got to vote on their choice. This patch was picked and adopted as the new Northampton

Fire Department patch.

The patch includes the Northampton City Seal in the center of a traditional maltase cross with two axes crossed behind to

represent our primary mission of fire suppression The logo also includes a star of life and the words " FIRE EMS" to

represent the new mission of The Northampton Fire Department. The cross also includes "EST. 1857" to represent the

150 years of proud and dedicated service the fire department has given to the residents and visitors of Northampton.

Due to the high cost and numerous requests, we are unable to fill any requests for patches,

however please feel free to print the above patch for your collection.
