    Do you know what safe really means? Here is the definition just in case you forgot...

               Safe- free from hurt, injury, danger, or risk!

 

 Also do you know what's safe and what's not?

 Here are some things that you must not do with fire, matches or heated electronics:

 

                                                                            

              Playing with fire, matches or lighters is really not ok!                                Don't touch stoves with burners that are

       Get a parent to help you if you really need to use one of them.                   glowing orange or that have fire under them.

 

 

                                                      

                     Don't ever try to make one of these. This is a wildfire,                      Have a parent always light the candles for you.

                           and it can destroy homes and even animals.

 


 

Here are things you can do when you are involved with fire:

 

 

                                                 

                          Look for signs that could help you to                           Check your smoke detectors every 6 months and change the battery.

                                      Practice stop drop and roll with your family so you know what to do if you catch on fire.

                                                  

  Practice crawling underneath smoke during a fire.               Make sure you put a towel or rug under your door, so smoke wont get

                                                                                                       into your room but only if you don't have a way to get outside.

 

                                                                                       

           Make sure you and your parents have a plan for an escape route.   Make sure you don't leave flammable objects like your clothes

                       You always want to get out of your house safely.                                    on your stove tops or near a fire place.

                As Known as: Operation EDITH= Exit drills in the home.
